An established Quebecois outdoor retailer gets redefined into a modern ‘urban chalet’. The design concept, complete with local natural materials, impactful photography of Québec’s iconic landscapes, hiking trail maps, and environment-themed graphics, showcases the shared passion for the great outdoors. The design language is intentionally urban—it emphasizes multiple client and product engagement points throughout the visitor journey and complements the urban chalet functionality.

At the heart of this urban chalet is Le Foyer—a community flex space outfitted with a cozy fireplace and social seating. Le Foyer is strategically positioned in the store to serve as an educational and community-sharing hub where customers can learn from vendor experts through product knowledge sessions. Curated product storytelling moments throughout the store reposition La Cordée as an authentic outdoor lifestyle brand and support its long-standing reputation as an expert within Québec’s community of outdoor
