The fresh and new updated look for the Melanie Lyne brand was a design evolution to meet the demands of the modern woman. The contemporary design concept was created to tell stories of curated collections through modern style metal etagere fixture “closets” showcasing customers day-to-eveningwear attire. As customers browse the store, they will experience three distinct zones; The Collections Zone, Social Zone, and Special Occasions. The space was purposely designed to enhance a personalized shopping experience. Creating a central customer service zone allows Melanie Lyne’s style experts to give each customer one-on-one attention.
The materials palette embodies the ideas of texture, and contrast. A crisp neutral palette of light grey is balanced with dark and light wood tones. Large slab porcelain tiles clad the storefront and create an elegant monolithic stone appearance. Large format porcelain tile was used for the flooring throughout with rug accents inset at the seating area and in the fitting room. A black apricot woven wood wall treatment adds warmth and texture.
The new design concept for Melanie Lyne exemplifies how a well-known Canadian legacy brand can thrive and reimagine itself within the 21st century fashion-retail landscape.
